Marriage (Nikkah)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Manchester Central Mosque can facilitate and host nikkah ceremonies.

Allah (Ta’ala) says in Surah Ar-Rum:
“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.” (Quran 30:21)

There are a number of things to be taken into consideration before one can arrange a Nikah such as:

1. Mutual consent from both the bride and groom for the Nikah
2. Two male adults as witnesses who will be present
3. Mahr – The marriage-gift (Mahr)

Nikkah/Marriage will only be conducted after procedures are correctly followed. This includes completing the required forms. You can collect at the Masjid or request via email.
